7/14/15 BELOW IS A NOTE FROM THE MBDE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
Thank you for your email and yes, as soon as the Board proposes the draft rule, then we’ll schedule the matter for a public hearing. You’ll be notified once the proposed rule is drafted and will also be notified of the date, time and location of the hearing. I anticipate a late summer/early fall implementation date. You should know that we are also working with Commissioner Anne Head, Dept. of Professional and Financial Regulation, on conducting a review of the dental board statute to streamline the licensing provisions and scopes of practice – so if any further statutory changes need to be made prior to rulemaking that it can be identified now.
